Detroit Local TV News Channel 7 Gets The Inside Scoop Of A Movie In The Making Inspired By World Tae Kwon Do Champion Lynnette Love And Developed By Lady eLan Films

Love and eLan were in town to support a fund-raising event hosted by Just Jameen Skin Care for the Eclectic. The Detroit based business all day pamper event attracted patrons who saw the WXYZ interview with Love and eLan that broadcast live early Saturday morning on October 8th. Contributions made from selected products sold will go to support scholarships for The Greater Metro Detroit Lions Club/Lions Hearing Center and the development of the trailer for a screenplay inspired by Love's life and developed by Lady eLan Films.

The Greater Metro Detroit Lions Club/Lions Hearing Center became a major source to the Love family when it was discovered Love's niece was deaf. As her niece grew into a young woman Love inspired her to compete in Tae Kwon Do. This fall, she was recruited by South West Collegiate Institute for the Deaf's basketball team-a part of Howard College in Texas. And today Love is giving back to the organization that gave so much to her niece by raising scholarship funds. In addition, Love is supporting the development of Seoul, U.S.A a movie aimed to empower young women around the world.

Love is known for her competitive career before and during the 1988 Olympic Games. She put Detroit, Michigan on the world map by winning three World Championships, two Olympic Medals, 10 US National Championships and 5 Pan American titles.

The most decorated athlete in Tae Kwon Do history, to date, no other female practitioner has beat her record. In 1991, the United States Olympic Committee named Ms. Love Female Athlete of the year for all sports. In 1992, with the title of Team Captain under her belt, she was the only woman from the 88 team to return and medal for the U.S..

Soon after her retirement, Ms. Love coached the US National Team at the World Championships, World Cup and Pan Am Games and was named USOC Developmental Coach of the Year.

Today Love operates Love's Tae Kwon Do Academy where she teaches up and coming martial arts practitioners.

Lady elan Films is in development to pay homage to Love's success. Having co-starred on prime-time episodic Criminal Minds, Actress, Writer and Co-Producer of Seoul, U.S.A, Cherrelle eLan will star in the movie playing the lead of Lynnette Love.
