A Company on a Mission: DesertedRoad Uses Information Technology as a Vehicle to Change Lives

Missions are the heartbeat of DesertedRoad, a company that leverages software development, core infrastructure and management consulting for serving families and communities around the world.

When asked about software development, DesertedRoad's President and CEO, Joshua Davis, will unhesitatingly communicate that it is a God-given gift - a gift that he has been nurturing since he was five (5) years old. With a passion to deeply impact lives, Joshua was driven to start a company whose culture and mindset was entirely different from today's corporate standard, thus creating DesertedRoad in 2006. Since then, DesertedRoad has become a leading information technology company specializing in enterprise software development, core infrastructure, management consulting and serving people. DesertedRoad's mission is to minister to people's needs at a personal level and do so on a global landscape.

Process is something that DesertedRoad makes a priority. However, most businesses today rush through the approach, offering end-result solutions instead of building trusted relationships. The determination to make it about the clients they serve and the people they reach is DesertedRoad's business. "It's not about making a dollar, it's about making a difference." Joshua often states. He has invested in a team that will operate on a different path - a path of surrender, servant leadership and open-hearted faith.

DesertedRoad's missions have been the glue that holds the life of the company together all of these years. For over five years, DesertedRoad has donated more than 10% (ten percent) of its gross earnings with a priority to actively give to the community. By partnering with organizations like Fellowship of Christian Athletes, PACT Ministries and Reformed University Fellowship, DesertedRoad has been able to actively invest in people and communities across the globe.

Another organization that DesertedRoad proudly supports is Compassion International. With over 100,000 families helped, Compassion International has been releasing children from poverty since 2000. DesertedRoad humbly supports 4 (four) children monthly, with a goal to support a total of 10 (ten) children by the end of 2013, to make an impact in their lives. In countries like Haiti and Tanzania, the children sponsored by DesertedRoad will be able to live the life they deserve and desperately need, through Christ. All this became possible because of a software development company's true desire to help. DesertedRoad strives to remain active in their missions daily, praying for the community and its individuals.

"It is most humbling to watch our tithe continue to grow each month with the success of DesertedRoad," says Joshua. "It is truly a blessing that God has allowed us to be a part of changing lives and given us the opportunity to love people through the vehicle of information technology."

DesertedRoad's goal for 2014 is to sponsor 25 (twenty-five) ministries and 100 children from Compassion International. These are individuals, families and communities that will benefit from a company who is passionate about loving people. With the help of its clients and supporters, DesertedRoad will reach people and communities worldwide. It is a full-circle, faith-driven passion and dream come true for DesertedRoad - a blessing they are grateful for every day.
