YoWindow 3S - Enjoy the Weather on Your Desktop!

YoWindow, a leading weather application for Windows, has updated to version 3S. YoWindow displays a landscape on the screen, reflecting real-time changes in weather and seasons, as well as day and night with the sun’s position or moon phases.

Moscow (I-Newswire) February 15, 2013 - The time marker can be moved back and forth to show past and forecast weather. A photo can be set as a landscape, providing a 100% realistic window view on PC and Mac desktops.

Looking out of the window is an obvious way to see the weather outside. But what will the weather do this afternoon? Do I need a coat or umbrella this evening? Looking out of the window does not help here, however looking at YoWindow certainly does.

YoWindow obtains weather information from full-featured weather stations and turns it into finely animated landscapes, with wind blowing or sun shining, rain pelting or the moon in the sky. The program realistically displays cloudy weather and thunderstorms, fog and blizzards, so running the program is just like looking outside through the window! YoWindow not only shows the current weather, but also provides an accurate weather forecast just when you need it.

The new YoWindow 3S features three new lively animated landscapes (Oriental, Seaside and Airport), as well as the original Village landscape. And now, there is the attractive ability to use any photo as a landscape. “Our users have uploaded over 2000 photos of hundreds of places all over the world,” says Pavel Repkin, the mastermind and lead programmer of the application. “It’s amazing how you can easily see Paris or Beijing as though it was just outside your window! That’s what we made YoWindow for.”

Sound effects have been implemented in the new version, which add even more charm to scenes, making them not just look real, but sound real, too.

Pricing and availability

YoWindow is available for Windows XP or higher and for MacOS 10.5 or higher. The program requires a 1GHz processor, Internet Explorer installed on the system and an Internet connection. YoWindow is free.
