Wordbee continues to make major gains in the Japanese translation market with the recent announcement that Nikon Precision Inc. has signed up to its Translation and Project Management SaaS (Software as a Service) system.

Esch-sur-Alzette (I-Newswire) September 14, 2012 - Wordbee continues to make major gains in the Japanese translation market with the recent announcement that Nikon Precision Inc. has signed up to its Translation and Project Management SaaS (Software as a Service) system.

The gains made in the Japanese market reflect Wordbee’s move beyond the novelty of being a first generation web-based translation management system. Nikon Precision executive Mr. Andrew Jones explains, “Wordbee dominates Japanese language support and modern workflows, helping us to keep our costs down.”

Does the movement of Japanese corporations toward cloud solutions like Wordbee suggest a sea change in the industry? According to Wordbee, the full list of Japanese features includes a Japanese interface, support for Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana syllabaries, Japanese date formats, Japanese-specific calendars, as well as full-width and half-width numbers. This technology is used in other areas of the translation management system to provide accurate word counts, and correct segmentation, as well as translation memory applications including pre-translation.
