Women's Empowerment Tour To Provide $25,000 in Start-up Grants To Women

Online, June 29, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Augusta, GA (June 29, 2010)-As an off-shoot of its KARS Grant Writing Workshop, "Reel World" Theatre & Pizza Party Tour, The KARS Consulting Group, LTD has created The Women's Empowerment Tour as a component of its community outreach to bring Grant Writing instruction, resources and information to women in communities across the country.

As an additional mechanism for support, The Women's Empowerment Tour offers up to $25,000 in grant funding to be awarded to seminar registrants. Distributed in the form of $5,000 start-up grants, these awards are designed to assist women-centered, women-focused organizations. According to Keisha A. Rivers-Shorty, President of The KARS Consulting Group, "So many times participants in seminars receive the information to apply for funding, but don't have access to an immediate source of startup funds. This grant program allows participants to practice their new-found skills, while at the same time receiving the financial and organizational support they need to move forward." A total of five (5) grant awards will be distributed to woman-owned and women-founded small businesses, organizations and nonprofits, with each grant award recipient also being awarded a complimentary consulting contract with The KARS Consulting Group to assist in further development of their organization, creation of a strategic plan for growth and outlining an effective marketing and communications plan to generate additional support, along with a featured profile on The KARS Consulting Group website and BlogTalkRadio Show Style and Substance.

Sessions of The Women's Empowerment Tour are no ordinary workshops. Presented by Rivers-Shorty, these unique, hands-on, interactive seminars are designed to teach attendees how to create effective, compelling grant proposals, and just as importantly--if not more so--explore methods to garner support for their organization and insure sustainability through the acquisition of volunteers, donations, fundraising and sponsorships by effectively using The Art, Science & Psychology of Communication. Rivers-Shorty effectively combines her experiences as an educator, grant writer, entrepreneur, trainer and her education at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and College of Education to create an innovative approach to assist participants to develop ways of both communicating information and compelling people to action.

Seminar Registrants will immediately be able to take advantage of a collection of support services designed to assist them in developing their organizational plans, fine-tuning their implementation strategies and outlining the initial components of creating effective proposals, letters of support and promotional materials. These support services and resources include such items as: weekly Brown Bag Webinars, VC Training Modules, email newsletters, complimentary VC24 Consulting Services and more.
