WILLiFEST™ Positions Itself For A Successful Launch With Strategic Partnerships

Through strategic partnerships that include radio stations HOT-97 and WRXP, Moviemaker Magazine, ProductionHUB.com, Knitting Factory Entertainment, Brooklyn Bowl, The Moth and SPiN NYC, WILLiFEST is poised for a successful launch this September.

To bring about awareness and provide additional publicity for sponsors, WILLiFEST, the annual art, film and music festival will host monthly networking events. The last event, which was held on June 17, 2010 at the Empire Hotel Rooftop Bar, was attended by actor Leon and industry executives. On July 20, 2010, WILLiFEST™ co-founder Robin Adams, will attend the opening of SPiN's newest location, SPiN Hollywood. The table tennis social club, co-owned by actress Susan Sarandon, is a sponsor of the festival. On August 25, 2010, SPiN NYC will host the festival's emerald "green carpet" star-studded news conference and party where the films and bands participating in WILLiFEST™ will be announced.

Beginning on Friday, August 6th and every Friday until September 24, 2010, WILLiFEST™ will broadcast live to Japan from locations in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Groove E Motion, a weekly indie music radio show, airing LIVE at 2:00 pm every Saturday on Radio Shonan (83.1 FM). The live segment will be executive produced by Robin C. Adams, Willifest Inc. and produced by Masaki Osada of Motionwave.TV. Groove E Motion is currently Radio Shonan's No. 1 ranked show. Radio Shonan broadcasts to an impressive 1.2 million listeners.

The festival's goal, "to provide a platform for the creative vision of today's emerging artists of all disciplines," has reached across the globe, as the festival will feature entertainment from China, India and Madagascar. With over 500 film submissions received to date, a large portion submitted by foreign filmmakers, festival attendees can expect a wide array of entertainment that will include performances by, critically acclaimed world music vocalist, Razia Said and India's violin icon, Dr. L. Subramanian. More international acts will be announced soon.

In addition to stellar performances, the three-day, four-night festival will begin with an opening night ceremony and launch party. The remaining three days will be packed with free concerts, diverse film programs, panel discussions, an exclusive storytelling slam, a photo exhibit and plenty of after-parties.
