Walsall (I-Newswire) December 16, 2013 - Boltight Ltd, a West Midlands engineering company, is expanding its operations to meet the growing demand for its specialist hydraulic bolt tensioning tools from the oil and gas, power generation and industrial engineering industries.
In recent months the company has not only increased its workforce but also acquired additional workshop facilities at its base on the Junction 10 Business Park on Bentley Mill Way in Walsall. Having started with just one 135 square metre unit in 2004, it now operates from four units on the business park occupying approximately 1000 square metres.
As one of only a handful of truly independent hydraulic bolt tensioning specialists in the world, Boltight has benefited from its flexibility to respond quickly to enquiries and changing customer needs. Strong sales growth has been achieved by focusing on pioneering product design and excellent customer service. Many items can be supplied from stock but the company also offers a bespoke design service for specific bolt tensioning applications.
Customers can also take advantage of Boltight's complete tool repair, refurbishment and upgrade service that covers all types and makes of hydraulic bolt tensioners, hydraulic nuts, pumps, hoses and ancillary equipment.
Said Boltight's director, Fred Heaton: "Despite the recession and tough trading conditions, Boltight's sales have held up well over the last few years because we have continued to invest in our people, our products and our capability to provide customers with technical support. With confidence now returning to the market, all our hard work is bearing fruit. The business is in an excellent position to capitalize on the upturn and we are starting to see double-digit growth."
Boltight's bolt tensioning equipment is in use all over the world with exports now accounting for over 90% of turnover. The company currently exports to Africa, Australia, Middle East, South East Asia, the Far East and the USA. It is now actively looking to further expand its global distribution network into certain Middle Eastern countries, South America and the former Soviet block countries in Eastern Europe, Northern and Central Asia.
