For the first year, The Upper Room is offering a ‘Fund a Family’ opportunity, where folks can elect to contribute $200 to help families seeking to earn an education, find a job, raise healthy children, or put nutritious food on the table. Donations are accepted in advance and online, and during the night of the event. The Upper Room’s Executive Director, Kimberly Bavaro, commented that “The Upper Room always receive feedback on how attendees gain the satisfaction of knowing their support is directly impacting families in their community. However, our team constantly speaks to many people who can’t attend the auction, but still wish to support its mission. The Upper Room implemented ‘Fund a Family’ as an additional way to provide support, even if the donors cannot be physically present.”
