P. Hickman Company was chosen to be one of four finalists from a group of over 150 companies which were nominated for the honor.

The competition, sponsored annually by the magazine Business North Carolina and BB&T Corp., was judged by Gail McDonald, N.C. Department of Commerce small-business ombudsman, Peter Mitchell, president of last year’s winning company, and Ben Kinney, the magazine’s publisher. The award was presented to W.P.Hickman on Wednesday December 9th at an event keynoted by North Carolina Secretary of Commerce Keith Crisco.
