VMG Worldwide Short Track Speed Skater Jeff Simon Wins 8th World Cup Medal

(I-Newswire) November 12, 2009 - VMG Worldwide, Inc. is proud to announce that prominent client and highly regarded U.S. Short track speed skater Jeff Simon has won his 8th World Cup medal held recently at World Cup 3 in Montreal, Canada, and is the only U.S. Men's short track speed skater participating to pick up more than one medal in the first three competitions overall. Simon is the bright spot in comparison to the disappointing showing by the United States men's team thus far. Currently, Simon ranks second place overall in the men's 500 meter event with one more World Cup to complete on today, World Cup 4 in Marquette, Michigan. No other U.S. Men's teammate is ranked in the top 5 in any event except for the relay team which is ranked 5th at this point. The World Cup series hosts the worlds top short track speed skaters. The athletes take part in four World Cup competitions and accumulate points in four different events which are the 500m, 1000m, 1500m, 5000m relay for the men, and the 3000m relay for the women. The sites hosting the World Cup series for 2009 are Beijing, Seoul, Montreal, and Marquette, Michigan.
