Virto Commerce Announces Integration with Kooboo CMS
Virto Commerce released Virto Commerce CMS Accelerator together with open source enterprise level Kooboo CMS.
California (I-Newswire) December 5, 2013 - For the past 6 months Virto Commerce and Kooboo teams we have been working together to create an integrated product that uses Kooboo CMS for the frontend management and Virto Commerce as ecommerce module including catalog management, price lists, orders, etc. As a result companies created an integration that offers the most value to both end users and developers.
The solution allows changing all the views using Kooboo management console and managing e-Commerce functionality using Virto Commerce Manager. The features of the new solution include, for example, that all controls use Kooboo views to display information, so they can be easily edited through Kooboo interface. Also Virto Commerce uses Kooboo for authentication purpose, while still maintaining roles that are specific to Virto Commerce. Product and Category Templates are implemented using Kooboo views and determined (which template to use, based on user context, product viewed or category browsed) by Virto Commerce engine. At the same time all Virto Commerce business logic remained intact, so it is easy to migrate application from MVC site to Kooboo and back if needed.
Hosted demo version is available at http://virtocommerce-cms.azurewebsites.net.
