Pop Artist Priya Set to release the much anticipated Music Video for Hit Single Light Switch

07016 (I-Newswire) April 26, 2011 - (New York, NY) American-born Indian pop songstress, Priya, will debut her first music video for her hit single “Light Switch” through online media and an exclusive viewing party on April 29, 2011. Recently offered a deal with music licensing company Sir Groovy, Priya is on the rise to join their list of super noteworthy artists.

For her first ever-video release, Priya teamed up with noted director Calvan Fowler of Daydream Filmworks who has worked with prominent companies such as Spike Lee’s 40 Acres & a Mule Production Company, NBC Studios and Global Grind. The young pop singer remarks about working with director Calvan Fowler saying, "It was a true honor to work with Calvan. Filmed in New York City, the video showcases Priya’s edgy and creative sense of style and movement. Defying pop video norms of backup dancers, club scenes and story telling, Priya entices viewers with her smoldering vocals, artistic fashion sense and intriguing lighting schemes. The video showcases the works of stylist Michael Porter of CTC Designs, hair stylist Krish Jones of Glam Girl Krish, makeup artistry by Tinisee Buckman of Tinisee*MUA* and custom made glasses by Tracy DiMarco of the hit TV show Jerseylicious.

The former pre-pharmacy student released the co-written upbeat pop track back in October 2010 through online retailers and has gained substantial buzz on multiple press and blog sites such as Music Remedy, The Urban Music Scene, Popyoularity, DesiTalk and the News India Times. The downloadable single “Light Switch” is currently available on iTunes, Amazon, and eMusic.
