Vibrant Graphics CEO travels to Israel to attend HP’s “Commercial VIP Event”

MILWAUKEE – HP Indigo’s technology partners attended a “Commercial VIP Event” to engage in indigo briefings, manufacturing plant tours, and visit Israeli end-user sights.

Dinner by the Mediterranean Sea might not be a typical ‘Wednesday-night-happening’ for most, but it certainly was for Vibrant Graphics’ CEO, Mike Sewart. Recently, Sewart embarked on a journey to Tel Aviv, Israel, to attend a “Commercial VIP Event,” hosted by Hewitt Packard (HP) Indigo Digital Press Headquarters.

HP reinforced its dominance in the printing industry by exhibiting R&D facilities in addition to its digital press manufacturing plant. Sewart was able to observe a product demonstration of the newly-released, HP Indigo WS6000 Digital Press Series. “There are many opportunities with the 6000 press, including larger print run, and printing at a greater speed,” said Sewart.

In addition to HP’s announcements about Indigo products set to debut at IPEX, Indigo provided insight on the current context of digital printing and presented growing market opportunities. Two areas of development, which were a focus of the conference, that Sewart would like to further implement at Vibrant’s local production facilities are to further increase digital printing reliability and reduce waste by using software applications for digital technology.
