(I-Newswire) December 18, 2009 - Tribe Pictures is pleased to announce that Vern Oakley’s critically acclaimed romantic comedy, “A Modern Affair,” has been selected as Andy Hunsaker’s Fancast Movie of the Week. The feature-length film will be available in its entirety for free viewing online during the week of December 14, along with an interview with filmmaker Oakley.

“A Modern Affair” stars Lisa Eichhorn as a Grace, a corporate executive with the perfect life—until she begins to experience an urgent desire for parenthood. Her quest for the perfect sperm donor and desire to control every aspect of the process lead her to surreptitiously pursue the donor, a handsome photographer (Stanley Tucci in his first starring role). When the two actually meet, a relationship begins to develop, and Grace has to decide whether or not to tell him the truth.

“As a storyteller, my desire is to connect with an audience,” said Oakley. “It’s exciting that new digital distribution strategies such as Fancast are helping independent filmmakers reach global audiences. The timing is perfect as we are just going into pre-production on our new feature film, Paraty, a love story set in Brazil.”
