2013 Event will include return of the Tasting Tour and Brunch on Bridge Street; Vendor applications for Vail Valley restaurants and Colorado culinary brands available now
Event organizers announced today that Gourmet on Gore will return to Vail Village for the eighth year over Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30 - Sept. 2, 2013.
An open-air culinary and beverage festival, Gourmet on Gore takes place along Vail's Gore Creek Drive and Bridge Street showcasing the Vail Valley's premier restaurants as well as wines, spirits and beers from around the world. Live music, delicious food and superb drinks all meet together on this unique weekend to create a delightful epicurean atmosphere in Vail Village. There is no cost for admission to Gourmet on Gore open-air tasting, and the event is open to the public.
The 2013 event will include a Tasting Tour to kick things off on Friday and Brunch on Bridge Street to close out Gourmet on Gore for 2013. Additional elements throughout the weekend will include chef demonstrations, mixology seminars, tasting events and more. Final details and the full schedule of events will be posted to the Gourmet on Gore website, www.gourmetongore.com.
Local artist Carrie Fell has once again created a one-of-a-kind work of art to represent the 2013 event. James Deighan of Highline explains, "She has done an amazing job of capturing the spirit of the event and the iconic scenery of Vail Village as an extension of the piece that was presented at FEAST! Vail 2013." Poster prints of the Gourmet on Gore artwork, "Room at the Table" will be available at the event.
Vail Valley restaurants are invited to participate in Gourmet on Gore. Event organizers are accepting vendor applications, and those interested in participating can get details on applying by contacting Missy Johnson at 970-476-6797 x 712 or via email to email@example.com.
Gourmet on Gore is presented by Toyota, Town of Vail, Stella Artois, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey, Chambord and Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate and is sponsored in part by Acqua Panna and San Pellegrino, Vail Daily and KZYR, The Zephyr.
