Key hire delivers on UpWind's strategy to provide full-service offering at lowest-cost per kWh.

MEDFORD, Oregon, (May 26, 2010) - (December 7, 2010) - UpWind Solutions Inc. ("UpWind"), the leading 3rd-party wind asset management services firm, announced today that it has hired energy industry leader, Peter Wells, as Vice President, UpWind Parts Services and General Manager, UpWind Blade Solutions. Wells will champion the growth of UpWind's recently acquired Blade Services division, as well as accelerate the development of UpWind's Parts Services capabilities. The addition of Wells as the leader of UpWind's Parts Services operation further advances their strategy of providing customers with a complete product and service offering for wind turbines across the wind energy value chain at the lowest cost per kilowatt hour.

Wells comes to UpWind from a decade of service at GE, where he served in a number of roles within GE Energy including Vice President of parts services for GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy. During his tenure as leader of this business, Wells delivered substantial organic growth while significantly improving customer performance metrics. Prior to GE, Wells had over 10 years of business success in the construction engineering industry and became certified as a Six Sigma black belt.

"We are extremely excited to have Peter as part of our senior management team," said Marty Crotty, CEO of UpWind Solutions. "We conducted an extensive search to make sure we found the right candidate to lead this strategic initiative for our customers, and Peter's track record at GE stood out as very impressive. We look forward to him duplicating that success at UpWind and leading the charge to build out our full service product offering at the lowest cost per kWh."

Wells joins the UpWind Solutions management team effective December 7, 2010.
