Sleepless or restless nights are not fun, and anyone who has experienced these troubles knows that pain well. Author Richard Nilsen, president of publishing house All Star Press, has released a brief excerpt of his book, Sleep Great for Life, with two easy tips that anyone can apply for a better night's sleep.

"Insomnia is a vastly underrated health problem," explained Nilsen. "Everyone at some point has suffered with poor sleep, but too many individuals deal with insomnia and other sleep-related disorders on a regular basis. These two tips alone can drastically improve one's sleep performance."

Sleep surveys indicate that nearly sixty percent of adults in the U.S. experience symptoms of insomnia a few nights a week or more. The impact of poor sleep results in numerous health and personal issues, including depression, increased blood pressure, irritability, difficulty concentrating, lack of sexual desire, just to name a few.

Nilsen's book, Sleep Great for Life, offers 14 critical steps for proper sleep hygiene, which lays the foundation for the heart and soul of the book: the easy-to-apply Sleep Great method. The book had previously only been available in the Kindle format but is now available in all digital formats and paperback.

"Overcoming insomnia requires some basic fundamentals and little bit of discipline on the person's part," continued Nilsen. "It pains me to see anyone else suffering with a sleep disorder because I know how difficult it can be, how it can affect one's personal and work life, and the depression that can result."

Nilsen's excerpt "Two Steps to a Better Night's Sleep" is available at both www.sleepgreatforlife.com and allstarpress.com.
