Today Show segment on Joy Fit Club with Kathie Lee and Hoda, highlights man's 150-pound weight loss journey and skyrockets sales.
TurboCharged® is taking off. A relatively brief (224 pages) self-published health, diet and body fat loss book released last year, TurboCharged: Accelerate Your Fat Burning Metabolism, Get Lean Fast and Leave Diet and Exercise Rules in the Dust (March, 2011), has become the number one best-selling nutrition book, number two best-selling diet book and number 26 best-selling overall book, according to Amazon sales figures. People are picking up TurboCharged following an appearance on The Today Show yesterday by one of the many successful dieters who lost substantial amounts of both weight and body fat without needing special foods or exercise programs.
The simplicity and ease of application was what hooked Chuck Voelker, who contacted the co-authors, boomer-generation siblings Dian Griesel, age 51, and Tom Griesel, age 58, to share the fact that he had lost 150 excess pounds by following the eight simple steps outlined in their book--all specifically designed to produce rapid, permanent body fat loss. Voelker also reported that the book had been suggested to him by the notable San Diego-based, orthopedic surgeon Paul C. Murphy, M.D. Dr. Murphy is a former United States Navy orthopedic surgeon and former team surgeon for the San Diego Chargers, and is also known as "Dr. Supercross" for having been instrumental in the care of such legends as Jeremy McGrath, Mike LaRocco, Bubba Stewart and Ricky Carmichael. Dr. Murphy simply told the then 400-pound Voelker, "Buy it."
Ten days into the program, Voelker, like others, was feeling great with excess fat dropping rapidly as his energy and spirits rose. In Voelker's case, he was down 100 pounds in seven months, and while on The Today Show he proudly showed off two pairs of his huge "before pants" to Joy Bauer, Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb. Voelker told the hosts-and the world-that he had lost a total of 150 pounds during the past twelve months by following the TurboCharged program and that he has never felt better.
Since its first publication in 2011, TurboCharged has developed an enthusiastic group of supporters who log in to the TurboChargedDiet.com website daily for inspiration, while many others also share success stories on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/turbochargedus) and Twitter with the handle @TurboChargedYou.
