TRENCHTOWN JOINS MLB2K11® R.V. NATIONAL TOUR at COMERICA PARK
Trenchtown will join the Major League Baseball® 2K11 nationwide RV Tour with a secret free performance at Comerica Park on May3rd, 2011 before the Tigers vs. Yankees game.
Los Angeles, CA (I-Newswire) May 2, 2011 - Detroit native band Trenchtown has officially announced that they will return to Comerica Park on May 3rd for a special one-time performance as part of the Major League Baseball® 2K11 nationwide RV Tour. The tour spans across the nation hitting 21 ball parks and culminating at the 2011 MLB All Star game July 12 in Phoenix, Arizona.
The band’s opportunity to bring their take on Rock/Reggae/Punk to the MLB 2K11 Detroit event began when 2 tracks were chosen by 2K Sports to be on the recently released videogame, MLB 2K11. The soundtrack includes 13 tracks with Trenchtown receiving the honors for 2 of them, Unpaid Holiday and Pourin Rain .

The MLB 2K11 RV Tour will feature hands-on demos, limited-edition swag, and pitching and batting cages. A special meet-n-greet with Trenchtown will take place on May 2nd when fans will have the chance to get their hands on a free copy of the band’s recently released self-titled EP produced by Billy Graziadei and also limited editon merchandise. Following on May 3rd, a special performance (5.30pm to 6.20pm) will close the two-day MLB2K11 event as a finale before the beginning of the game Tigers vs Yankees.
Previously known as Maryz Eyez during their tenure in the Detroit rock scene, Trenchtown now calls Hermosa Beach their home located on one of the beaches of Los Angeles County. Their blend of Rock is heavily infused with Reggae and Pop which creates a unique mix hailed as the lovechild of Green Day and Sublime.
