Trapeze has released a new version of its Auriga dispatch system for taxi and private hire companies, which now includes extensive text, e-mail and postal booking and payment notifications.
The new module is intended to offer passengers increased information and security when making bookings - particularly those essential pre bookings for important trips such as holiday airport jobs. With this new release, customers can be sent a free text or e-mail to confirm the details of any booking, so they know that it has been logged correctly. Passengers without access to a mobile phone or e-mail can simply be sent the details in the post, via a simple 'Print Confirmation' command.
For the taxi or private hire company, this offers a simple and completely integrated way to improve customer communications, and of course provide reassurance as to their professionalism and quality of service. Of course it also helps to reduce instances of no-jobs and booking errors by providing the customer the booking details which can be checked at an early stage.
Additionally, customers who pre-pay by credit card can be e-mailed a credit card receipt via the system - and if they don't have an e-mail address, there is again a 'Print Confirmation' command to allow one to be sent in the post.
