Toy Drive for Foster Children in New Jersey

Foster children represent the invisible statistical agony of New Jersey. They are four times more likely to develop an emotional disorder versus their non-foster peers, as well as twice as likely to drop out of high

New Jersey (I-Newswire) December 10, 2013 - Foster children represent the invisible statistical agony of New Jersey. They are four times more likely to develop an emotional disorder versus their non-foster peers, as well as twice as likely to drop out of high school.

However, the plight of foster children largely goes unknown due to blanket of security that foster agencies provide in the interest of providing security to each child in the foster care program.

Because of this, Fun for Fosters will be hosting a toy drive on December 21st in Haddonfield, New Jersey in the interest of ensuring foster kids have plenty of toys underneath their tree. The event will be held in Kings Court on Kings Ave. in the heart of Haddonfield.

"Fun for Fosters was created in the interest of improving the lives of foster kids in New Jersey" said Matthew Steffen, President of Fun for Fosters. "While no one in our special interest group interacts directly with the children, the knowledge that we can create situations in which foster children can feel loved and valued was the genesis of our formation."

Fun for Fosters is comprised of all volunteers, and does not require government funding. The President of Fun for Fosters, Matthew Steffen, sponsors the special interest group's operations with his consulting agency, Imprinsic Marketing Group (

"I have always been a firm believer that the private sector can do amazing charitable work for the public sector. All we ask is that people dedicate either their time or money toward improving the lives of foster children, and the response from the community has been overwhelmingly supportive."

According to Robert Levin of Fun for Fosters: "When you start a community-focused business, one of the goals is to eventually have the resources to serve the community through activities like Fun for Fosters "Finally we have the people and resources to do what we know matters for real children."

"I'm so excited about what this toy drive will mean for foster children, that it's difficult for me to go home at night!" said Steffen.

The toy drive will be held on December 21st from 10 am to 9 pm at Kings Court in Haddonfield, NJ. All toy donations will be delivered to various foster care representatives following the event. If you wish to volunteer or donate a toy, please visit our website at:
