Waste removal specialists Scarborough Disposal launched their Pink Bin campaign in support of the efforts made by the Canadian Cancer Society to combat breast cancer.

Waste removal specialists Scarborough Disposal launched their Pink Bin campaign in support of the efforts made by the Canadian Cancer Society to combat breast cancer. Generously, Scarborough Disposal will donate $25 dollars from the rental of each of its pink bins in hopes of furthering research to find a cure for this widespread affliction.

James Lardner, owner of the Toronto-based junk removal company, explains that the cause was important to his company because it's a universal affliction. "We chose breast cancer in particular because it affects so many of us. We all know a mother, sister, daughter, niece, etc. that has been affected by this. It's very important for us to know that we are giving back and think it's something all businesses should think about doing. Find a cause that means something to you, and support it."

Scarborough Disposal recognizes the importance of supporting non-profit organizations, as well as the responsibility they have as a small business to give back to their community. In addition to the Pink Bin campaign, the Toronto disposal company expressed their intention to start a similar project in the effort to raise money to help critically ill children, another cause very dear to the company's heart. It is still undecided at the moment whether they will pursue this venture through POGO or the Jennifer Ashleigh Foundation.

For those interested in supporting Scarborough Disposal's campaign, they may book their pink ribbon bin by contacting them via phone or email and simply requesting the "pink" bin, or by visiting www.scarboroughdisposal.com.
