Tire Change Assistance Kit

Tire Change Assistance Kit gives anyone the mechanical advantage necessary to loosen and remove stubborn lug nuts.

Most motorists have experienced flat tires and have had to change them. Even for those who have the skill and knowledge to do so, the process of changing a tire can be frustrating, if not impossible, because of stubborn lug nuts. The lug nuts hold a vehicle's tires and rims to the wheel-hubs. Now, there is a new product that can aid in removing those stubborn lug nuts. The Tire Change Assistance Kit is a two-piece breaker-bar or pipe extension designed for use with a lug wrench or a tire iron to remove lug nuts. Easy to store, assemble, and use, the Tire Change Assistance Kit gives a leverage far greater than that of a tire iron alone.

The Tire Change Assistance Kit has two lengths of ½ -inch threaded galvanized steel pipe that screw together to form a single pipe 30 to 40 inches in length. The distal section is open-ended to slip over the handle of a standard, single-socket standard lug wrench. It can also slip over the transverse shaft of a star-type lug wrench. The proximal end of this section has a threaded collar and receives the distal end of the handle, or upper, pipe section. The handle section is threaded at its distal end and capped at its proximal end. The handle section is fitted with a foam sheath or grip for comfortable handling. The handle section also has a foot strap, loop or stirrup that suspends from the pipe by an eye and several links of chain. Televised test marketing has been completed indicating very strong consumer interest in the Tire Change Assistance Kit.

The Patent Pending Tire Change Assistance Kit was invented by William Gratto of Des Plaines, IL, who said, "When the Tire Change Assistance Kit is assembled and in place over the shaft of the lug wrench, the foot strap is used for the extra leverage that is needed to loosen stubborn lug nuts that will not budge. With the compact Tire Change Assistance Kit virtually anyone can loosen and remove those lug nuts.
