The Secret to Million Dollar Profits -Action

"You either do it, or you don't and tell stories the rest of your life why you didn't. Then you die." -Doug Allen

Ok, I know that sounds harsh, but it's the truth.

Tony Robbins says it this way:

"There are only two things, reasons and results. It's just a matter of which you're more committed to."

You can either create the results you want, or tell stories why you didn't.

When it comes to making a huge leap in income, people stop themselves before they even get started by telling themselves stories about why they can't succeed.

I was talking to a friend yesterday and he asked me about on online survey I was conducting. One of the survey questions was, "What's your MOST BURNING question about making money?"

My friend asked me what type of questions people ask, and I said a common question is something like, "How can I go from working at my job to making big money?"

Then my friend asked what I tell people.

The answer is simple.

First you need to visualize the life you want.
Then you need to ask yourself why you haven't created that life.

The answer you come up with is your story. And it's this story, or reason, that prevents people from even taking the first step towards creating the life they want.

Then my friend started interjecting his own beliefs into the conversation. He said,"I want $200,000 in one-year... but you need money to make money."

My friend who said this has almost zero money saved. And he believes you need money to make money.

Can you see why he wouldn't even take the first step to even try to find a way to make money?

Because of his beliefs, or story, he tells himself he won't even try. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

This is what Tony Robbins means when he said there are only two things, reasons and results. Which are you more committed to?

My friend has been more committed to the reason for not making money all of his life. To make money he's going to have to be more committed to the result -making $200,000 in one year.
If there's a gap between where you're at now and where you want to be, tell somebody why you haven't closed the gap yet. You'll identify your reasons, or stories.

And the more you try to convince yourself the story is true, the more committed you are to your reasons, and the less committed you are to your results.

It doesn't matter whether the story is true or not. What matters is whether you believe it's true.
