The Sand Castle Bed & Breakfast Gets Guests Ready to Hit Long Beach Island in Style
While lifeguards get ready for their summer appearance, The Sand Castle Bed & Breakfast in Barnegat Light, New Jersey, preps guests with 'Life's a Beach' kit.
Online, June 5, 2013 (Newswire.com) - In less than two weeks lifeguards return to Long Beach Island for their yearly summer appearance. Starting June 15th beach-goers may swim in confidence, knowing a lifeguard is on duty from 10 am to 5 pm till Labor Day. While purchase of a badge is needed to access the beach, guests at The Sand Castle Bed & Breakfast in Barnegat Light, get theirs free as part of the inn's 'Life's a Beach' kit.
"We like to go above and beyond for our guests," says Nancy Gallimore, owner of The Sand Castle Bed and Breakfast, who also provides a complimentary chair, umbrella and towels for use at the beach. "Who wants to bring all that stuff on a getaway? Just stay with us and use our kit."
Beach badges cost $5 per day and are required from June 15 to Labor Day. There is a $1 surcharge for badges purchased on the beach; children 11 and younger are admitted for free. Although Sand Castle guests tend to walk the two-blocks to the beach, transportation to guarded beaches is also free for badge holders via a beach tram, which stops at all guarded beaches between Fourth and Ninth Streets most of the day.

The beach, popular among guests, is dotted with restaurants and stores. It also features a lighthouse, volleyball nets, basketball courts, tennis courts and a playground.
