The Official Start Of Winter This Year Is November 29th
Coyotehunter.net will host the 2012 Winter Classic November 29 – December 1 in Mandan, ND
DOUGLAS, WY (I-Newswire) November 14, 2012 - Old man winter may yet be a few weeks away, but for predator hunters across the northwest, the official arrival of winter always coincides with CoyoteHunter.net’s annual Winter Classic. It’s a key event in what has become the country’s most popular coyote hunting tournament series.
“Before I created the Coyote Hunter Tournament Series, I didn’t feel that there was a proper venue to showcase the talents of the region’s predator hunters,” said CoyoteHunter.net director Jamie P. Olson. “Since then our team has worked really hard to make the Winter Classic and all of our events the best run coyote hunting tournaments in the country. And based on what people tell me, we have accomplished that goal.”
The Winter Classic is a two-day contest with a registration fee of $300 per team. The official staging area for the event will be the Seven Seas Hotel located at 2611 Old Red Trail in Mandan, ND. A block of rooms has been set aside at a special group rate at the hotel.
There will be a rules meeting at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29 at the hotel. The call-in check-in will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30; the contact phone number for this check-in will be given out at the rules meeting. On Saturday there will be a check- in at 7:00 p.m. at the hotel. 1st 25%, 2nd 20%, 3rd 15%, 4th 12%, 5th 8%, 6th 6%, 7th 5%, 8th 4%, 9th 3% and 10th 2% place finishes will be awarded to the teams with the highest two-day total. Cash, plaques and prizes will be awarded to winning teams. Cash will be awarded for the largest and smallest coyotes (100% pay back) and will be paid out each night.
