(I-Newswire) August 12, 2010 - Guests to The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore will be able to experience the next-generation in-room entertainment and info-communications services as StarHub and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore announce the launch of Singapore’s first true IPTV in-room entertainment solution today. With this launch, The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore also becomes the first hotel in Singapore to offer selected high-definition pay TV channels in all its 100 guest rooms and suites.
Guests will now be able to access a wide range of Video-on-Demand services, easily and intuitively obtain key travel information such as Real-Time Flight information, Weather and World Time via the HDTV. They would also be able to obtain information and highlights of the dining services and facilities of both The Fullerton Bay Hotel and The Fullerton Hotel, as well as information on the dining destinations of all properties of The Fullerton Heritage precinct, which include One Fullerton, The Fullerton Waterboat House, Clifford Pier and Customs House. The Fullerton Bay Hotel will also offer, via StarHub, native-quality high-definition pay TV channels, the first hotel in Singapore to offer crystal clear image and sound on high-definition television sets in all guest rooms, with no video and sound compression. The in-room entertainment solution was supplied by RoomWise, an HD-IPTV system provided by BNS, Asia’s leading IPTV technology and content solutions provider, who partnered with StarHub for this project.
StarHub will also be supplying The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore with full high-quality Internet which is available in all guest rooms and public areas, as well as mobile and IDD services
