The BizWorld Foundation Honors Vivek Ranadive at Luncheon

The BizWorld Foundation will host a fundraising "Riskmaster" Luncheon honoring Vivek Ranadive, Founder and CEO of TIBCO Software Inc, on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco, California.

The BizWorld Foundation is pleased to announce the 9th Annual BizWorld "Riskmaster" Luncheon, a fundraising event highlighting the need for business and entrepreneurship education in the classroom. The 2012 event will honor Mr. Vivek Ranadive, Founder and CEO of TIBCO Software Inc., for his entrepreneurship and innovative spirit. In attendance will be the Bay Area's leading CEOs, venture capitalists, and industry luminaries including Tim Draper and San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee.

"Mr. Ranadive's story is truly a remarkable one, and we are thrilled by the opportunity to honor such a deserving individual," notes Harry Gould, event chair. "Sheer determination brought Vivek to MIT from a childhood home in Bombay, but it was his drive, his ingenuity, and a stunning sense of entrepreneurialism that allowed him to forever alter the landscape of software development. Mr. Ranadive is truly an inspiration, and we are privileged to award him at our Luncheon."

The event will bring together the Bay Area's most influential business leaders for an afternoon focusing on the importance of offering our nation's youth an education in entrepreneurship, innovation, finance and business skills. Joining Mr. Ranadive will be Tim Draper, Founder and Chair Emeritus of The BizWorld Foundation and Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, as well as Hale Boggs, Chairman of The BizWorld Foundation. There will be special appearances by the 'BizKids,' who will showcase the entrepreneurial skills learned through participation in the BizWorld program.

"The BizWorld Foundation fills a critical need in our society: to inspire and educate the next generation of entrepreneurs," states Mr. Ranadive. "The youth served by the BizWorld programs become the adults who will change the face of tomorrow. Instilling real-world skills and a passion for success is critical to the health of our future economy. It is my pleasure to join The BizWorld Foundation in bringing attention to this vital mission."
