The new location may prove to work out better for patrons than the first, as it provides space for the lounge to stretch out three stories tall. Those who loved visiting Lenox Lounge in the old building can still enjoy the same style and feel that it had before, as the legendary Zebra Room is to be recreated in the new location.

The old Lenox Lounge, located at 288 Lenox Ave, hosted performances from many jazz greats, including Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Billie Holiday. This helped to attract many well-known patrons including Malcolm X, The Renaissance Writers, James Baldwin, and Langston Hughes. While those who visit the new location will not have the benefit of being in the same place that these great stars once enjoyed, the new Lenox Lounge is set to be host to some great things in the future.
