The Ancient Art of Mars has been recreated on Earth.

For three years, the Mars Exploration Rovers Spirit and Opportunity have been traveling the Mars surface. In the images photographed by Spirit, a number of sculpture characters were discovered - some of them now recreated here on Earth.

The Marseanna character is based on images, taken by the Spirit Panoramic Camera on or about March 18, 2004. The C Wolf character is based on images, taken by the Spirit Navigation Camera on or about April 1, 2004.

The detailed scientific analysis is ahead, and it will provide insights of different kind and detail. But the message delivered by Art starts it all rolling.
