Now in its 3rd year, the South Florida (Soflo) Dancehall and Reggae Music Awards acknowledges and honors the accomplishments and contributions of entertainers and entrepreneurs of the Reggae and Dancehall industry. Created in 2008, the Soflo Music Awards was a brain child of a non-profit organization, Single Mothers of America, which is administered by individuals of Caribbean decent. SMOA wanted to find a way to get their messages across and include the Caribbean community, it was then the award show was established. Visit http://www.sofloawards.com

About Single Mothers of America

Single Mothers of America is a crisis 501©3 non profit organization implemented to financially aid households lead by single mothers. The organizations are aware and hear the cry, not the complaints of fathers absent in millions of American households. Awareness of the shortage of limited allocated funds from local government agencies allows an avenue for an organization that cares to provide an optional avenue of financial assistance to single mothers. Due to the enormous and continuous growth of families without fathers an optional crisis outlet was created to help aid this particular group of women. Financial assistance will be provided for some of life essentials such as:

-Housing (Rental & Mortgage)

-Childcare

-Utilities

-Clothing

-Transportation
