Thailand BIG+BIH April 2013 Apply New Strategies Adding More Benefits For Exhibitors And Visitors

The 35th Bangkok International Gift Fair 2013 combined with The Bangkok International Houseware Fair 2013, the largest trade fair in ASEAN, will be held from April 19-23, 2013 at BITEC, Bang-na, Bangkok.

Bangna (I-Newswire) February 27, 2013 - It provides opportunities for entrepreneurs to showcase their creative design and initiatives. Acting as the business center inviting participants from all over the world, The BIG+BIH 2013 is organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce and supported by the Thai Lifestyle Products Federation (TLPF), consisting of 7 associations related to lifestyle products. Numerous strategic alliances will also join. This annual event has been organized successfully for 35 years.

Mr. Jiraboon Vithayasingh, Secretary General of the Thai Lifestyle Products Federation (TLPF), explained about the extra benefits: “BIG+BIH April 2013 has been adjusted to correspond with the needs of both businessmen and visitors. The date has been changed to be after Thai New Year festival and before the Hong Kong Gift & Premium Fair (April 27-30). The Trade negotiations days are from Saturday April 19 to Sunday April 21, 2013 and the event is open for the public on Monday April 22 to Tuesday April 23, 2013. However, the public can also attend on the trade days by contacting us at the Registration desk first. It’s advisable to dress in formal attire.”

Mr. Jiraboon Vithayasingh also added: “We make it all convenient for our international partners in many ways. At Suvarnabhumi Airport, foreign businessmen can use the fast track and shuttle transportation service from the airport to BITEC and the hotel. In addition, luggage counter, VIP lounge and interpreters will also be provided for smooth business transactions.”

“As for the product showcase, the highlight is the distinctive designs of the products, carefully selected from 500 companies (exhibitors), to be displayed in the Design Hall. These products are trendsetters for 2013. On top of this, the leading department stores and brand name shops in ASEAN have been invited to the Business Matching session.” He added.

BIG+BIH consists of over 1,000 booths of innovative products from stores in Thailand and over 80 countries around the world, covering over 40,000 square meters, bringing in revenue of over 2,000 million baht. Examples of these products are gift items, souvenirs, arts & crafts, artificial flowers, plants & trees, potpourri, soaps, woven home décor, fabric-based and metal-based items, home and office stationeries, decorative Christmas items, candles, toys, kitchen utensils and many more.
