The National Blood Clot Alliance will continue its long-standing collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as it has been awarded another five-year CDC Cooperative Agreement to raise public awareness about blood clots.

World Thrombosis Day is a global effort to raise awareness about deadly blood clots. In the U.S., up to 300,000 people die each year due to blood clots, which is greater than the number of deaths due to AIDS, breast cancer, and car crashes combined.
