Online, February 12, 2013 (Newswire.com) - T-Mobile Huawei myTouch and the myTouch Q are identical, apart from the physical keyboard on the Q. Designed exclusively for T-Mobile, Huawei managed to put together a low-end, affordable smart phone with a sleek design and enough power to run easily throughout the day. The myTouch measures 4.8 by 2.5 by 0.41 inches. The Q is slightly thicker due to the physical keyboard. The phones have a soft, rubberized coating that make them very comfortable to hold and give them a great look. Under the screen are 4 capacitive buttons - Home, Menu, Back and a Genius button that fires up a voice-control service powered by Nuance.
The keyboard on the Q is 4 rows with nicely spaced keys. Both models have Swype and an Android digital keyboard. The 4 inch screen is 800x480 pixel resolution does the job fine, especially for a first time smart phone user. The myTouch and myTouch Q have 5-megapixel cameras with 720p HD video capture. They do ok in a pinch, but don't replace a point and shoot. The front facing camera is 0.3 and does well for video chatting. The only drawback for the myTouch and myTouch Q is the software - Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Inside is a single core Qualcomm 1.4GHz processor that only has slight lags during use. The call quality on both phones is phenomenal for both regular calls and speakerphone.
