Sustainable Now Technologies, Inc. Files Energy Conversion Machine Patent

Sustainable Now Technologies today announced the filing of their first patent describing their Energy Conversion Machine (ECM) technologies.

(I-Newswire) October 15, 2009 - At a private event in Malibu, Sustainable Now Technologies, Inc. (SNT) Chief Executive Officer, Eric Woolery, announced the filing of SNT’s first provisional patent.

“With this crucial step completed, we are excited to announce that our intellectual property, the Energy Conversion Machine, is finally patent pending,” Woolery said. “This filing now allows us to announce the public debut of our prototypes, which will take place in Spring/Summer of 2010.”

SNT has been in Research & Development since the Company’s founding in late February of 2009. This past July, SNT released a detailed report on the History of Fuel, in an effort to provide open source information, and to further global research into curbing carbon emissions. That report is soon to be followed by a new article, outlining the Algae growth cycle, and describing how carbon capture results naturally as a by-product of Algae growth and processing. SNT is currently testing two ECM prototypes at their Long Beach (Signal Hill) facility.

The city of Long Beach has recently enacted a progressive ‘Clean Port Initiative’ in hopes of curbing the carbon emissions of California’s largest international port. In 2006, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a landmark piece of legislation, AB 32, aiming to reduce carbon emissions to 1990 levels by the year 2020, a 25% reduction from current emissions levels within California. SNT’s patent filing marks an important milestone in the realization of these objectives; their Energy Conversion Machines capture and sequester carbon from the atmosphere as a by-product of operation.

Chief Operations Officer for SNT, Nathan Morrison, expanded on the initial patent announcement, “Simply put, this new patent covers the entire energy conversion process that allows our machines to translate solar energy into liquid combustible fuel. We will be showcasing our three variations on this patent, the Alpha, Beta, and Gamma series prototype ECMs, next year at our public debut.”

Sustainable Now Technologies was founded in 2009 by the members of Steven Shigematsu’s ‘Green Machines Labs’ Research & Development Team. SNT was established in memory of Shigematsu, who passed in late 2008, with its primary mission being the continuing exploration of Shigematsu’s ‘Algae to Bio-Diesel’ design theories. SNT’s Research & Development Lab is located in Long Beach, CA. Home offices for SNT are located in Los Angeles, CA.
