Sunflower Center Welcomes Fall with Celebration

(I-Newswire) August 20, 2009 - Long Island, NY- Sunflower Center (www.sunflower-center.com), along with the Shostakovich Cultural Program will host the First Russian Golden Autumn Festival with a special cultural celebration for all families on September 13, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will take place outside and inside the Center's spacious facility located on 262 Glen Head Road, Glen Head, NY 11545.

The community is encouraged to participate in this collective celebration in honor of the Russian culture where everyone can enjoy art and entertainment and some exquisite Russian delicacies. Special performances are planned which include the folk dance group Golden Roosters, the folk singing group Barynya and a circus performance, part of the interactive children's program.

Sunflower Center's ambition in creating a Russian influenced Autumn Festival reflects the passion for enrichment and the arts within the community. The center empowers children and adults to move forward in their learning and motivates them to aspire in becoming successful individuals who are not afraid of reaching their goals. Sunflower offers a nurturing and loving environment aiming to provide children with the resources to learn, evolve, socialize and mature into productive individuals. The center enhances the skills necessary for success and personal growth and aims to enrich childhood.
