Studio One to One Fit Kids Program Makes Fitness Fun

Studio One to One offers Fit Kids Summer Programs including yoga, strength training, and a running club. Programs are designed for children ages 7-15.

Parents who are worried about their kids being sedentary this Summer have an innovative new option. Nick Bates, Studio One to One Manager, is inviting local youth to Studio One to One's Fit Kids Summer Programs. The programs include yoga, weight training, and a running club, and offer ways for local youth to stay active over the Summer. The programs will focus on increasing flexibility, strength through resistance training, improving coordination, boosting confidence, building mental toughness, and gaining fitness knowledge that will last a lifetime.

"The Fit Kids programs allow us to show kids that fitness can be fun, and to expose kids to new kinds of exercise," shared Mr. Bates. "I didn't have this individual attention growing up, but I was an active kid and that laid a strong foundation for my adult life. Parents expect so much of their kids these days that sometimes exercise and an active lifestyle are lower on the priority list. I will teach your kids the proper technique, safety, eating habits, and exercise etiquette. But most importantly, kids in our program will gain self-confidence that comes with doing something positive for their bodies."

The yoga program is offered to both elementary and middle-school ages, while the Lift Club and Run Club are appropriate for ages 11-15. The Run Club will end with the Old Soldier's Day 5k Race in Alpharetta. All programs are appropriate for those just starting out with exercise, or those who have tried it and would love to learn more. The programs take place at Studio One to One and start Tuesday, May 31st, 2011. Please visit www.studiofitkids.com for complete details, schedule, and registration.
