South County Vendors Take Center Stage At South County Bridal Show

Wakefield, RI (I-Newswire) December 14, 2011 - From sandy shores to whispering woodlands: beaches, romance and scenic views all unite in the ideal wedding destination known as South County, RI. The South County Tourism Council and Southern New England Weddings have promoted the area’s gorgeous attributes and are enticing brides to host their special day here.

On Jan. 8, 2012, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., South County’s finest wedding vendors take center stage at the 5th Annual South County Bridal Show at the Towers, 35 Ocean Rd., Narragansett. This is the only event dedicated exclusively to South County wedding vendors and venues.

This event provides the best combined resources and information to aid brides and their families in making the most important decisions for their memorable moment – a South County wedding.

Southern New England Weddings featured a destination “South County” wedding on the cover of its 2012 Destination Wedding magazine. A 14-page interior spread was dedicated to “South County, Rhode Island, A Pure Blend of Coastline and Countryside!”

“South County is the jewel in the crown for an affordable destination wedding,” said Myrna George, president of South County Tourism Council (SCTC).

The event is a human scale showcase, featuring select wedding vendors, highlighting the naturally elegant wedding destination that is South County. The show is also linked to the launch of SCTC’s new website, www.SouthCountyWeddings.com.

Registered brides have a chance to win prizes ranging from free appetizers to a wedding dress. Visitors to the bridal show can sample wedding fare, peruse photo albums, admire fragrant bouquets and chat with wedding professionals.
