Manila (I-Newswire) January 4, 2013 - Sofitel Philippine Plaza, in partnership with RunRio, Inc., announces the launch of RunRio – Battle of the Sexes, a 10k evening Fun Run to be held on the 26th of January 2013 at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds in Pasay. There will be ten (10) age level categories that runners can join to. The Battle of the Sexes Fun Run will have one overall winner who will win an overnight stay at a Sofitel Suite with breakfast for two at Spiral. Also, each category will have one male and one female top winner where each winner will win an overnight accommodation at a Superior Room at Sofitel Manila with breakfast for two at Spiral. As an added bonus, all runner participants will have the chance to win over 1 million in luxury prizes from Sofitel Manila. One lucky raffle winner will get a chance to win the “One Million Luxury Stay Package” which includes a three night’s stay at the Imperial Suite, ten gift certificates of lunch/dinner buffet for two at Spiral and five gift certificates at Le Spa, Sofitel Manila’s luxury spa center. The raffle draw will be held after the race.

RunRio is a series of 10k fun run organized by RunRio, Inc., headed by the foremost running coach in the country, Coach Rio de la Cruz. This January, RunRio, Inc. is partnering with Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, the only French luxury hotel in Manila, to organize their first fun run for the year. The Battle of the Sexes Fun Run’s unique concept of male vs female is probably a first in the country. Male and female participants will compete with each other in one finish line, one venue, one distance. Female runners will run first then after 7 to 10 minutes, male runners will start the race.
