SmartAVI Expands Its CATSwitch Family With The CATXPro 64-Port HDTV CAT5 Matrix Switch

North Hollywood, CA (I-Newswire) January 4, 2012 - SmartAVI, Inc., a world-leading innovator of digital signage and video/audio/control signal distribution and switching over UTP/STP and fiber optic cable, announces the release of its American made CATXPro rack solution. The CATXPro switches WUXGA Video, Component Video, Composite Video and S-Video with full stereo audio support and full IR/RS232 non-blocking matrix switching. Switch up to 64 remote devices to 64 remote displays located up to 1,000 feet away.

The CATXPro works in conjunction with special remote units that are customizable and offer compatibility with a wide variety of signal types. Video is transmitted up to a high-definition resolution of 1920 x 1200 with buffered output. A single audio/video output can be routed to one or multiple destinations. The CATXPro supports several methods of control including RS-232, IR, USB, TCP/IP and Touch Control. The CATXPro was designed in response to customer feedback based on hundreds of installations. SmartAVI is the first to offer a 64x64 matrix switch in a single rack enclosure.
