Slyde Handboards Announces Talent Search To Discover America's Next Surf Artist
Slyde Handboards, a Southern California surf brand, invites "undiscovered" artists to enter a Facebook competition to become Slyde's featured artist of the month.

Slyde Handboards is a Southern California surf brand, centered around the newly emerging sport of handboarding.
A sport that has been described as "bodysurfing for the new generation."

On August 22nd 2012, Slyde Handboards invited US based artists to submit their design concepts
in a "friendly" Facebook competition.
The winner of the competition will become Slyde's featured artist of the month for November.
"Handboarding, like surfing, and skateboarding is its own unique sub-culture, of which art and music play a vital role. We're excited to collaborate with previously undiscovered surf artists and help create a movement together" said Michelle Michalak director of Social Media at Slyde Handboards.
The contest will conclude on September 22nd 2012, just 30 days after the talent search was publicly announced.
The winner of the contest will be chosen entirely by votes received on Slyde Handboard's Facebook page.

The design concept with the most votes on Sept 22nd will be named winner of the talent search.
Winner will receive a blank Slyde Handboard to use as their "creative canvas," and share their artistic talent with the world.
Contestants from all of the United States have entered.
Jason May a contestant from Rhode Island said; "I'm an avid surfer, handboarder, and graphic artist. It seems only natural for me to expand my pallet to Slyde Handboards, this was the perfect opportunity."
