Skyline Products Awarded ITS Procurement Contract for Dynamic Message Signs by the Hawaii Department of Transportation

Hawaii Department of Transportation chooses Skyline Products to provide highly reliable Dynamic Message Signs.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Skyline Products™, a leading developer, manufacturer and provider of ITS-Grade® dynamic message sign (DMS) solutions for the transportation industry, has been selected by the Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) to provide multiple sizes of DMS in a statewide procurement contract. After an extensive review by HDOT of multiple DMS vendors, Skyline was awarded the exclusive three year contract, from which HDOT can purchase Skyline Products' Walk-In and Lift-face Dynamic Message Signs and utilize Skyline's integration services for on-site support and training. This will allow HDOT to improve their existing ITS system and better manage traffic situations on any of the islands of Hawaii.

Skyline Products Regional Sales Manager, Adam Lyons, comments, "Skyline is very excited about winning the contract with HDOT and we look forward to providing them with highly reliable Dynamic Message Signs that will stand up to the unique environment in Hawaii and lower their overall costs by providing the lowest-maintenance DMS in the industry."

Skyline will be delivering the first two Walk-in DMS to Oahu in the fall of 2010.

Skyline Products' Dynamic Message Signs will be used to inform motorists of up-to-the-minute accident alerts, weather conditions, AMBER Alerts, detour instructions, construction updates, etc.
