Skyline DFW Highlights Year of Charitable Giving

Skyline DFW ends another legendary year with various donations to charitable organizations.

The Skyline DFW team is proud to reflect on their numerous contributions to charitable organizations in the 2013 year, all due to the dedication and generosity of its people.

By the end of 2013, Skyline DFW will have donated 43 units of blood to Carter Blood Care, a variety of supplies to the Genesis Women's Shelter, Granbury Tornado Relief and the North Texas Area Food Bank, while attaining more than 125 hours of community service. Two employees also participated in on-the-ground efforts for the Granbury Tornado Relief. Donations included gently used clothing and toiletries, canned and non-perishable goods, and monetary donations to the Illinois Tornado Relief. Junior Achievement of The Chisholm Trail was among the organizations volunteered with as well. Recently, Skyline DFW gave a donation of gifts to the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots charity, while in November, 16 volunteers from the company spent a day assisting the construction of a home for Trinity Habitat for Humanity.

For the second year in a row, Skyline DFW donated exhibit properties and signage for Skyball, a fundraiser presented by American Airlines and the Fort Worth Airpower Foundation in support of North Texas military families and to honor service members, veterans, and their families. The company also provided their installation and dismantling services for the donated properties. Skyball is one of the largest military fundraisers in the nation and has generated more than $4.5 million over the past four years to help support projects that directly benefit members of the military and their families.

"We hope to surpass philanthropic efforts each year by giving back to our community that gives so much of itself to us," Skyline DFW CEO Jeff Meisner said. "It is refreshing to see so many from the Skyline DFW team joining a variety of causes in the area and making a difference. We wouldn't be where we are today without the strong values of our people."

The community outreach program is facilitated by Skyline DFW's employees, who select which charities they will contribute to throughout the year. Meisner said he is proud of all the team members involved in striving to better the local community, which will have an even greater impact on the future, for both Skyline DFW employees and those in need.

Skyline DFW looks forward to 2014 and attaining the goal of improving the lives of others through service and charitable giving.
