Signs for New North Dakota No Smoking Law Available at ComplianceSigns.com

North Dakota's revised smoking ban takes effect Dec. 6. It prohibits most indoor smoking and prohibits smoking within 20 feet of buildings. ComplianceSigns.com has developed a variety of no smoking signs to help assure compliance with the new law.

North Dakota's revised smoking ban takes effect Dec. 6. The new law prohibits smoking in most indoor workplaces including bars, tobacco shops, truck stops, taxis, motel rooms and private nursing home rooms. It bans the use of electronic cigarettes in public places and requires people to be at least 20 feet away from buildings when smoking.

The new law requires business proprietors to:
• Remove ashtrays from any area where smoking is prohibited
• Post smoke-free signage
• Regularly educate all employees on the smoke-free law, including how to calmly and professionally interact with a person who is smoking in violation of the law.

Safety sign manufacturer ComplianceSigns.com has developed No Smoking signs and labels that North Dakota businesses and organizations can use to help assure compliance with the law - especially the new 20-foot rule.

"Our development team researched the new law and designed signs that make the new 20-foot rule very clear," said company president Paul Sandefer. "We have reflective parking-style signs and labels, standard wall signs and even clear labels and clings for windows and glass doors," he said.

The Illinois-based sign manufacturer has carried state-specific No Smoking signs for years, and regularly updates its store as state smoking laws change. Currently, 23 states require all non-hospitality workplaces, restaurants, and bars to be 100% smokefree. ComplianceSigns.com carries appropriate signs for these and many other state-mandated signage requirements.
