SFL To Showcase Its Regulatory Expertise At The SwAPP/SGPM Symposium In Zurich

SFL is pleased to announce its participation and support of the 15th Joint Swiss Symposium on Pharmaceutical Medicine (SwAPP/SGPM).

Basel (I-Newswire) November 20, 2011 - This important event will be held on Wednesday, 23 November 2011 at Grünenhof, UBS, Zurich. This year’s symposium will address topics such as Benefit-Risk Assessment, Updates from Swissmedic, Special Populations, EU Regulation of Medical Devices and Combination Products, and include a state of the art lecture on Advanced Therapies and Nanomedicine. Around 160 colleagues, working in pharmaceutical medicine in industry, academia and regulatory authorities are due to attend.

As experts in the field of regulatory affairs, SFL has been invited to present at a special session focusing on medical devices and combination products. Shayesteh Fürst-Ladani, SFL’s Managing Director, and Amanda Maxwell, Head of SFL’s UK Office, will be giving a presentation entitled “Introduction to the EU Medical Device and In Vitro Diagnostic Directives and an Overview of the Regulation of Combination Products.”
