She has, since leaving the life threatening situation, founded an organization in San Diego supporting human trafficking awareness. She currently works in advocacy for victims of Human Trafficking in Southern California. Nikki has not only firsthand experience in the area Sex Trafficking but extensive knowledge of Human Trafficking and Sex Trafficking both domestic and international. She is currently available for print, radio and television interviews touching on both her experience and her area of expertise.

Human Trafficking is currently the one of the fastest growing crimes in the world, having surpassed arms trafficking quickly gaining on drug trafficking. With recent events, such as editorial pieces regarding popular websites offering trafficking victims up for sale, the public is beginning to discover the horrors of Human Trafficking and Sex Trafficking and need to be made aware of its prevalence in their communities.
