The Lilburn Cultural Arts Center in Lilburn, Georgia will be hosting several free events as a part of their inaugural "Season of Giving" donation drive from Thursday, November 24th through Saturday, November 26th.

Lilburn, Georgia (I-Newswire) November 18, 2011 - The Melanie Thornton Youth Arts Foundation and the LOT Community & Youth Center have joined forces to sponsor the "Season of Giving" events. Everything will be hosted at the Lilburn Cultural Arts Center between Thursday, November 24th and Saturday, November 26th. The center is located at 4230 Lawrenceville Hwy., in Lilburn, Georgia 30047. It is behind Wendy's in the Lilburn Crossing shopping center. The events are free, however participants should donate any one or more of the following items: 2 canned goods, 3 bars of soap, deodorant, dish detergent, laundry detergent, floor cleaner, mouth wash, garbage bags, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, denture cleaner, shaving cream, tooth brush, razors, 4 rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels, a large bottle of hair shampoo, hair conditioner or body lotion, new children's clothing (any size), or a new toy. Most of these items are not obtainable with food stamps and many seniors and families simply go without in order to feed themselves, their families and/or buy medication. The Stuff a Senior’s Stocking pajama party takes place November 24th at 10pm through Friday, November 25th at 1pm. The party will start with a pajama jam live with DJ Lexx from 10pm to 12pm. Holiday Movies will fill the "quiet time" from 12am to 7am. After breakfast kids will participate in a fun video and creative writing project until 9:30am. After their snack kids will enjoy hip hop fun while learning the latest and most popular music video dances. After lunch is over at 12:30pm families will be able to see what the kids created and worked on before they take them home. The pajama party is conveniently taking place during peak "Black Friday" shopping hours. To participate kids need to bring at least one item from the list above and wear full length, warm pajamas, and bring a pillow and sleeping bag.
