Sea Trail Golf Resort and Convention Center Donates Equipment To First Tee Of Brunswick County

(I-Newswire) September 12, 2007 - September 17, 2007, Sunset Beach, N.C. - Sea Trail Golf Resort & Convention Center in Sunset Beach, N.C. has donated equipment to First Tee of Brunswick County. Sea Trail staff delivered the maintenance equipment in late July to a very appreciative group of volunteers, staff and summer camp attendees at The Golf Club at Cinghaile Creek in Shallotte, N.C.

"As we upgraded our equipment at Sea Trail, we found we had several pieces left over and we immediately thought that The First Tee could put the equipment to good use," said Matt Owens, director of golf maintenance at Sea Trail. "With only 20 acres of land at Cinghaile Creek, these mowers will last them for several years."

Owens and Kevin Nobles, head mechanic at Sea Trail, delivered a Toro walking green mower, a Toro green aerifier, a Toro riding green mower and a weedeater. The value of the items delivered was estimated at $6,000.

The mission of The First Tee is to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.
