Santec to Reinforce Sales in Europe by Relocating Sales Subsidiary Office to London
Santec announces that its new sales office "Santec Europe Limited" in London, UK opens on April 1st 2014 to address the growing demand from customers and business partners.
Online, April 1, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Santec Corporation (JASDAQ: 6777), a leading manufacturer of tunable lasers, optical instruments, and fiber-optic components, today announced that its new sales office "Santec Europe Limited" in London, UK opens on April 1st 2014 to address the growing demand from customers and business partners. Opening Santec Europe office is part of an ongoing project to provide greater support to customers in Europe, an increasingly important region for Santec's business strategy. Previously, Santec's European operations have been located in Oxford, UK and the move to one of Europe's leading cities and important travel hubs, will create a stronger presence for Santec in the region.
Regional Sales Manager for Europe, Ben Lee, will head the new office. Ben brings over 12-years of international experience in technical sales and account management. He is looking forward to supporting Santec's Telecom, Industrial, Medical and Scientific customers with the pioneering optical technology for which Santec is known.
In recent years Santec has seen growth not only in its traditional markets in optical Telecom test equipment and components, but also new areas such as silicon photonics research and optical imaging. New products such as fast scanning lasers have been introduced to address the Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) application, an imaging technology that is finding wide use in medical fields such as ophthalmology, cardiology and endoscopy, as well as industrial applications such as metrology and production line inspection. Santec's new office in London will support customers in Europe for products from Santec's Component, Test Equipment and OCT business units.
