Salt Lake City School District Expands MusicStudio® Program in Two Schools

Salt Lake City School District Community Education has expanded the MusicGarage/Sony Creative Software-sponsored MusicStudio music/audio production classes for after-school and evening instruction at Northwest Middle School and Highland High School.





















(I-Newswire) September 9, 2010 - Salt Lake City, UT – Salt Lake City School District Community Education has expanded the MusicStudio music/audio production classes for after-school and evening instruction at Northwest Middle School and Highland High School. As well, the rock music performance program has been added as a satellite program at MusicGarage, 2191 South 300 West in Salt Lake City.

MusicStudio

This class teaches how to use personal computer for song creation and multi-track recording. The class is taught using Sony ACID Music Studio software in a school computer lab. Musicians and non-musicians with basic PC skills are welcome. The 12-week class is split into two six-week sessions, but students may start at any time. Materials needed: 4 GB flash drive or larger and headphones with 3.5 mm jack. Cost is $10 per session. Instructor: Steve Auerbach

RockGarage

RockGarage is rock music performance program that rehearses for two hours weekly at MusicGarage, 2191 South 300 West to play seasonal shows on Friday November 12 in Park City and Saturday November 13 in Salt Lake City. MusicGarage provides rehearsal coaching staff and facilities including all of the drums, amplifiers, keyboards and sound system for rehearsal. This program is for intermediate musicians 18 and under. Tuition - $225 through November 13.
